How Actors Remember Their Lines | THE MIT Press Reader

This same process of learning and remembering lines by deep understanding enabled a septuagenarian actor to recite all 10,565 lines of Milton’s epic poem, ‘Paradise Lost’. At the age of 58, John Basinger began studying this poem as a form of mental activity to accompany his physical activity at the gym, each time adding more lines to what he had already learned. Eight years later, he had committed the entire poem to memory, reciting it over three days. In describing how they remember their lines, actors are telling us an important truth about memory – deep understanding promotes long-lasting memories.

HBO: Empire State Dragon

HBO has orchestrated an impressive out-of-home activation to promote the second season of its Game of Thrones prequel, “House of the Dragon.”

They’ve perched a colossal inflatable dragon atop the iconic Empire State Building. Unlike previous CGI campaigns, this dragon is physically wrapped around the skyscraper, creating a striking visual spectacle. Visitors to the Empire State Building can now enjoy an immersive experience that includes a throne photo opportunity, interactive games, and a breathtaking 360-degree view of the dragon.

Notably, HBO had previously promoted the show’s first season with a 3D advertisement in Times Square, featuring a dragon dramatically breaking free from a building.

House of the Dragon takes over the Empire State Building.
