PHSS Management Committee Nomination 2024 are open!?

We're looking for experienced, knowledgeable and enthusiastic people to share their expertise, skills and insights to help us develop our support for industry managers and leaders. The deadline to apply is Wednesday 16th of October 2024.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the PHSS Management Committee.

Being part of the PHSS Management Committee

The Management Committee steers the society in all its activities. It provides guidance on best practice to leaders, managers and operational staff.

You will be involved in all areas of the society including:

• ? ? ?events and other activities
• ? ? ?people
• ? ? ?society and member development
• ? ? ?regulation
• ? ? ?operations and finance

Committee members:

• ? help us keep members up to date with recent developments
• ? ?take part in working and focus groups for various projects
• ? ?support on planning conferences and other events

A big part of the committee members’ contribution is to help us design, deliver and disseminate content such as events so you should be prepared to:

• speak, chair and present to audiences
• ?utilise your network of contacts
• ?contribute to written articles

Time commitment

We estimate the average time commitment, spread out across the year, to be two hours per month. This includes:

Meetings take place online and in person, with up to five committee meetings per year taking place. The in-person meetings are held in Swindon office twice a year (with opportunity to participate online). As part of your nomination you are accepting to attend at least 3 meetings per year and be involved in an event, focus group or new initiative.

Positions will begin on the 1st of December 2024.

Committee members will serve for two years. After two years, you’ll have the opportunity to apply again for another term.
