The Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) north Queensland branch presented the annual Sir George Fisher lecture at James Cook University this week.

It was book ended with a post lecture dinner at A Touch of Salt in Townsville. 

The lecture was delivered by Evolution Mining Executive Chairman Jake Klein who spoke on The Reinvigoration of the Australian Gold Industry.
