The birth of photography has been traced back to the year the technique called daguerreotomy was introduced to the world, in 1839. This technique was named after its inventor, Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre, and consisted of a photographic process using silver-plated copper plates covered with silver iodide.?Photography continued to develop over the years, linking with other arts such as film and painting.?
