Photo diary of a prison reformer

Post 1: This is a photo taken after my fieldwork research at Sandaker Halfway House in Norway; a 16 bed house for people, as they experience the last part of their prison sentence. It is situated bang in the middle of Oslo, with an open door and access to the community, so residents can build the vital relationships they need to support them in reintegration. This was the last photo I took after a photo-essay research project. I was so happy in this photo and loved meeting the trusting, non-judgemental passionate team, who welcomed me in and gave me the privilege of researching why their correctional environment brought personal growth and contributed to the lowest rates of re-conviction in the world. #trust #growth #friendship #team #norway #prisonreform
