If you’re used to working from your phone and PC, this new Windows 11 feature could be a game changer.
Microsoft’s new “Hand Off” feature, currently in testing, is designed to make your workflow seamless. Imagine you’re in a meeting or on the go, working on a document in Microsoft Word or another app on your phone. When you return to your PC, a notification pops up, asking if you’d like to continue right where you left off. No more emailing files to yourself or scrambling to find your place—it’s a smooth, continuous experience between devices.
The magic behind this feature? OneDrive syncing. Currently, it’s compatible with Android devices, and while iPhone support isn’t confirmed yet, it’s likely in the pipeline.
This will be especially valuable for remote teams and those who are always on the move. Although it’s not yet available to everyone, “Hand Off” has huge potential to streamline workflows across devices.
