I have always felt that Relationships & Marketing are very similar in nature. I woke up in the morning to have a notification on my One Plus 5 phone; by one of the spiritual Gurus I am very fond of: Prabhu Gaur Gopal Das video on Pro-active approach towards life. The video had one simple yet a very strong message. Small things; done consistently have a great impact in one’s relationships and life.

And oh, we know YouTube is really smart, to have put One Plus ad literally when I started watching this video. And though I usually skip the ads, the title “One plus Coffee Experience “was irresistible and I ended up watching the ad not once but five times !

The more you put efforts in a relationship, for the other person, in most of the cases, the love grows proportionately. The One Plus brand has made sure, each one of its’ consumers are treated as beautifully as a right partner would have done. In the ad by One plus, where they talk about serving the premium coffee at all One plus offline stores & service centres.

One plus has achieved multiple brand goals, with this effort of theirs, literally like a champion

a)    One plus has keenly observed that millennials who love their phones , also love coffee .Another interesting fact is that, more than a hard sell , millennials love purpose , conversations and genuineness . Introducing premium coffee in the entire chain of after sales service , One Plus has made sure , Millenials establish that “connect” with the brand; which they crave for .

b)   They have integrated the product with an “Experience” , because experience is what all of us remember. Experiences over a coffee can range anywhere from having a conversation to sharing the light moments. Experiences are etched in the memory forever. Isn’t this how you build superior brand recall?

c)    Well, who loves a phone which isn’t working properly? It is indeed a hard emotion to take your phone to the service center. You feel irritated and sad at the same time. Wouldn’t it be great to have some soothing nice coffee after that?

d)   I personally didn’t get a chance to visit any One Plus store after the coffee experience was launched ,since it is not available in the city I am in .But I know , the premium coffee will also peak my (read any consumer’s) motivation levels to check out the store and the products placed there .And who knows I might just end up buying something, Now that is a “Pull strategy” nicely applied.

e) The brand knows that it is not just the initial sparks which matter , it is about delivering consistently which matters in the long run. This beautiful experience of after sales is sure to bring in the much needed "dependability and confidence " factor

f)The association developed between the traits of a Premium coffee and the phone have been well established by putting across the fact that the effort and craftsmanship which go in making a cup of coffee are similar to those which go in making the phone .

One Plus is definitely speaking in a beautiful language, after all ,
