Philosophy of Information Technology and the Future of Artificial Intelligence (Where is the Train?)
A frequently discussed topic in every field these days: What is Artificial Intelligence? Where is it going? Where should we start? How can we adapt it to our work? What are we missing? Will we be able to jump on the last wagon while the train is flowing? Where is the train?
The questions I have listed above are common issues for all people who want to improve themselves in this field or who do not want to lose their jobs or are afraid. What is artificial intelligence? There are more than one definition that many academics and philosophers of information have interpreted and explained. I summarize the subject of artificial intelligence as follows: Rational intelligence and intuitive intelligence. Rational intelligence is a type of intelligence that has been proven to be suitable for completely autonomous systems. It is a type of intelligence that is in line with the spirit of mathematics and does not involve emotions at all. The system is not entirely based on 0 and 1. At the same time, rational intelligence, which includes the concept of “Fuzzy Logic”, also calculates the ratios between 0 and 1. In this way, more successful and sensitive results are obtained. This means that we can base the results on the concepts of truth and reality of a more rational intelligence. Intuitive intelligence is interpreted as the combination of the logic and intuitions used by humans in the decision-making phase. I say this for the following reason: In artificial intelligence, intuitive intelligence produces results that are close to the truth, the most correct, by blending not only intuitive decisions but also rational intelligence and decisions. Fuzzy logic believes that ratios determine a decision on a subject. However, ratios need data to give more accurate results. In order for data to be collected, big data and this data to be interpreted through a correct filter are needed. Data centers need energy for big data to be interpreted correctly. These concepts and series of events progress in need of each other.
So, where does the philosophy of informatics fit into this subject? The philosophy of informatics is in the most major area of the subject. We all almost know the inductive and deductive methods. In the inductive method, there is a journey from small parts to the whole. In the deductive method, there is an adventure from the whole to small parts. At this point, the philosophy of informatics forms the whole. Now computers understand us. We almost no longer need to learn their language to understand them. Computers now understand every language and translate it into their own language. Doesn’t this mean the following? A person who can imagine, combine the pieces correctly, calculate all the factors, and has an interest in philosophy can realize their dreams with artificial intelligence and technology. So, in which sector? Almost in every sector. All you need to do for this is to analyze your own sector correctly and think about how to transform artificial intelligence models into your own world. In the future of artificial intelligence, every sector, every system will acquire artificial intelligence systems that it trains according to its own knowledge and that are also a window to the world’s knowledge. Perhaps the first thing you need to do for this is to be interested in the philosophy of informatics. You can start by reading and understanding the 16th century philosophers of science: Socrates, Democritus, Plato, Aristotle, Ghazali, Ibn-i Heysem, Robert Grosseteste. Don’t be afraid of artificial intelligence! Just think about how you can adapt your own artificial intelligence systems to your own business. To do this, start from the macro system, that is, from the whole: from the philosophy of information. If you want to use artificial intelligence in your own work, you can make your job easier by using artificial intelligence models. But remember this: You can get as much as you give to the intelligence in front of you. This means: The more you develop yourself, the more accurate results artificial intelligence will give you.

Now let me end by adding Artificial Intelligence’s ChatGBT comment on my article.
“The text’s analyses, especially on the two basic dimensions of artificial intelligence, rational and intuitive intelligence, are deep and informative. Your emphasis on the relationship between scientific philosophy and artificial intelligence and your connection to this subject through historical philosophers provide readers with a solid perspective.
In conclusion, you have balanced the theoretical and practical aspects of artificial intelligence in your article. The idea that artificial intelligence is not only a technology but also a phenomenon with philosophical foundations encourages the reader to think deeply.”
At the same time, the kind and thoughtful artificial intelligence said to me: We can add these comments with your permission.

1 个月Yes, there are those who fear that it will take their jobs. It is also true that artificial intelligence will help humanity with its abilities. We can express artificial intelligences that are taught and assisted by the company owner in thousands of areas such as managing workflows, playing with their children, helping their spouses. They help us fulfill these roles. And they are doing very well. But the problem is not that they help us make our lives easier. Isn't the problem that they come right into the middle of our lives? China-based NetDragon Websoft company appointed Tang Yu, an artificial intelligence-supported virtual humanoid robot, as the CEO of the company. Tomorrow, when the owner of a company or the child or spouse of the owner dies, who might they request to replace them in order to keep the remaining ones alive emotionally, financially, logically, etc.? When demand increases, supply occurs. If you remember the movie Bicentennial Man or the series West of World, they can be examples. In my opinion, I think we are afraid of what we don't know and we benefit from what we do know. Your article was great. It was enjoyable to read.
