A Philosophical and Divine Exploration of Stagnation, Change, and the Nature of Reality

A Philosophical and Divine Exploration of Stagnation, Change, and the Nature of Reality

Research & written by: Abdul Basit

There is a vast universe around us that man has not yet been able to cover.? If we observe the physical matter, then this fact will be revealed to the human being that every object created from matter starts from the smallest or tiny point and ends at a specific volume, and that object is destroyed.? Matter emerges from matter and after a certain time, it ceases to exist.? Which proves that the universe is moving from its starting point toward its final journey.? The universe is material and we can understand its beginning and end with the example of the material body of man.? We know that our physical existence starts from the smallest tiny point, and with time, this existence expands and expands to a certain volume, during which material cells are also produced and destroyed within this body.? But the volume of the whole body remains constant, then there comes a time when the system of the whole body stops and the cells of the body start to decompose, then this process is called the death of the body.? The end of the universe will also be the same.

?

Types of human existence

Man has material and spiritual existence, about which I have already written in detail.

The material body of man also starts from a small point and grows to a certain size and perishes which is called the death of man. It is the beginning and end of human life in the material world. Apart from material existence, man also has a spiritual existence. This spiritual entity neither arises with the birth of a human being nor perishes at the end of human existence. According to the Holy Quran, when a human being begins with a material existence, a soul is breathed into this material body, but a soul is not created with the material body. Annihilation is to happen to that which is created in the material world. The spirit is said to have breathed into this material body. The Holy Qur'an uses the words "Khalq" Khalq (creation) for the material body and the words "Amr" (Divine Command) for the soul.

States of mind

From here begins the journey of human beings in the material world.

During the journey of every human being in the material world, the self or state of mind is different from another human being.??

These are listed below?

  1. Stagnation state of mind
  2. Variable? state of mind
  3. The true (accurate) state of the mind?

Renowned Eastern philosopher Dr.Allama Iqbal has said in his? 7 sermons that in the material world, philosophy looks at reality from a distance, while religion (Islam's divine philosophy) looks at reality very closely.

To reach reality in this material world, a man travels through various paths.

According to Dr.Allama Iqbal

  1. “Intellect” is used in philosophy
  2. “Intuition” is used in classical? poetry
  3. ??The essence of religion (Islam) is faith, and faith is like a?

???bird that finds its destination without intellect.

Only two nations exist in the World

According to Surah Taghabun Chapter No.64? verseNo.2 of the Holy Quran, there are only two nations in the world

  1. Believers? ???? “Momin”? (believes? in the verses of Allah)

  1. Kafir ????? (who refute the verses of Allah)? or disbelievers of Allah's revelations.

???? ???????? ?????????? ?????????? ??????? ??????????? ????????? ? ????????? ????? ???????????? ???????

Chapter No.64 Verse No.

It is He who created you, and among you is the disbeliever, and among you is the believer. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing.

Surat No. 64 Ayat NO. 2

Contemplation has been mentioned in numerous places in the Holy Quran.? Every human being has intellect, but most of the time humans do not use their intellect due to which their mind becomes stagnant and they live worse than animals.? And the life of the world remains a play and spectacle for these paralyzed-minded people.

These people are passing their life but their mental capacity remains stagnant.

Intellectual Theories vs Divine

Now we turn to the schools of thought of those people who consider only their intellect as final and try to reach the truth without any external (divine) criteria, which according to Dr.Allama Iqbal belongs to the school of thought of philosophy.? If we study philosophy deeply, we will know that there is no single group of this school of thought, but there are different groups of philosophers in philosophy who think differently from each other based on reason.

Plato

In ancient Greece, Plato found a place in philosophy.

According to Plato, this material world is not real.? The real world is in the world of ideals.? And what we see in this material world is all illusion. The original blueprint of all things exists in the world of ideas and the material world's things are a replica of original things.? Because of this philosophy, Plato is also called the" Father of Idealism".

Aristotle

?On the contrary, his disciple Aristotle disagreed and said that what is seen in the material world is real.? Because of this concept, Aristotle is also called the realist class in philosophy.

" Father of realism."

The detailed discussion of this philosophy is quite long, but here it is only intended to state that in philosophy from ancient philosophy till today, the philosophy is trying to reach reality, but now it cannot reach any conclusion. Among these schools of thought, there is a group called materialists.? But the surprising thing is that even this materialist has so far presented different theories of the reality of matter and they are conflicting with each other.? I present these ideas without elaboration.

  1. Atomic or nuclear theory of matter
  2. ?Kinetic Theory of Matter
  3. Electrical Theory of Matter?

These three theories are different from each other and thus the materialists have not yet been able to agree on what is the real reality of the matter.? From ancient Greece to modern times, materialistic man has failed to reach the reality of the matter.

Among the modern philosophers,John Locke is a philosopher who has given two principles to determine the reality of things. which are known as primary Quality and secondary Quality.? When we perceive something, we observe some of its characteristics, and some of the characteristics are related to our senses (Sensation). For example, if we observe an apple at a distance, we perceive its distance and texture and we can perceive the movement, but until we taste it with our senses, we cannot tell definitively that it is an apple.

John Locke

Primary Quality

  1. ?Extension
  2. Figure
  3. Motion
  4. ?Solidity
  5. Number?

Secondary Quality

  1. ?color
  2. ?Taste
  3. Smell?

In the above, I have tried to explain to you that all the schools of thought in philosophy have used their intellect to arrive at the truth but we have seen that even though there are quite a few groups of them so far it has not reached the truth or reality of this material world, apart from the rational sciences, there is also an external (divine) knowledge which is free from the interference of human intellect.? If the human intellect follows this external(divine) knowledge (revelation), then man can come closer to the truth.

The Holy Qur'an tells three ways to reach the truth?

  1. Knowledge of unknown? ??? ?????? “ilm ul yaqeen”
  2. Knowledge at a distance ??? ?????? “Ain ul Yaqeen”
  3. Knowledge with close experience? (Righteousness )?? ?????? “Haqq al Yaqeen”

This can be understood from the example that if someone says that a fire is burning in such and such a place, then it will be called? ??? ??????”Ilm ul Yaqeen”? just knowledge and if we see the fire, then we will call it ??? ?????? “Ain ul Yaqeen” knowledge at the distance and when we are close to the fire, it will be known as ?? ?????? “Haq ul Yaqeen” righteousness knowledge. If you feel the warmth of it, then you will say it's right. In this way, you can reach the reality of everything in the material world. The Holy Qur'an has also told about the external (appearance) ???? “Zahir” and the internal “Hidden”? ???? "Batin”. There are external realities and internal realities of the universe.

I think that among our predecessors, a renowned eastern philosopher Dr, Allama Iqbal has the honor that Dr. Allama Iqbal went to the depths of interior reality and saw reality very closely, which is reflected by his poetry. In this material world, Dr.Allama Iqbal preferred the knowledge of the Qur'an to all the intellectual sciences of the world.?

And Dr.Allama Iqbal subjected his intellect to revelation and thus Dr.Allama Iqbal saw the reality of life very closely.

Dr.Allama Iqbal's vision was far ahead. The present material world was created by Allah, but these times are the links of the future and we should not stop at these links, but we should prepare ourselves for the next destination.

How does Divine philosophy explain the Reality of the World?

The Holy Qur'an has told about the life of a believer ???? “Momin” that how a believer ???? lives in this material world with other human beings in the journey of life and you will see that according to the Holy Qur'an, the eyes of the believer are always towards his next destination.? lives and like other human beings he protects his thoughts from the lust of this material world.? A believer always works with his intellect, but when there is a time when there is a conflict between intellect and revelation(Quran), the believer will give priority to the verses of (God) Allah over his intellect.? Believers consider (God)? Allah's commandments above their intellect.

Here in Allama Ghulam Ahmed Pervez's famous book Tabweeb Al-Qur'an, the qualities of a believer ?????? are described in a very beautiful way with the verses of the Holy Quran.? I present all these details in the same way as honorable Ghulam Ahmad Parvez has presented in his book Tabweeb Al-Qur'an.

The characteristics of believers as explained by the Holy Quran.

Momin are those people who firmly believe in the Divine philosophy of the Quran and follow it at every time of life. They are true honest people of the world. But I mention here that unfortunately most of the Muslims of the world are not following the divine philosophy as the requirement mentioned in the Holy Quran. A minority of Muslims exist from the majority of Muslims in the world who follow the divine order by heart and these are the true and Momin people as the Quran explains as follows.

Conclusion

The result of today's discussion on this subject is that each person sees the reality of the material world from his own angle. The journey of life is continuous. But the mental state of the majority of human beings is stagnant. Status quo people see reality as status quo. They believe that reality will remain as they see it. Then some people see reality in the form of variations and they think that this series of variations will continue like this and will last forever. These people belong to the school of philosophy which considers matter to be primitive. The third type of people are those who believe in revelation, and according to Dr. Allama Iqbal, their faith is like that of a bird that finds its way without reason. These people keep their intellect under revelation. And they put the revelation in front of their intellect. The Holy Quran has called them believers. "Mu'min" (the most pious man in the world)

History is a witness that the status quo (stasis) is not reality and indeed changes (variations) are the changing links of reality but it is not a permanent reality. If we think of time as a straight line, we appear in the physical world for a certain amount of time. It proceeds with a record of deeds. The permanent reality and essence is the soul (spirit) and the body is the temporary reality which temporarily consists of the various elements of the earth. And these elements return to the soil and the soul is cut off from this world. In general, the evolution of human attention (Focus) is constantly on the temporary existence made of the elements of the earth and man considers this existence as reality, while this existence is a temporary reality. The common man is unaware of the reality of his permanent existence.

But the eyes of the believer look far ahead. And the light of the Qur'an determines its direction in current variations. And he lives in the world with his ultimate goal in mind. And it is visible to humans as the moon is visible in the sky.

Finally, we pray that Allah (God) enlightens us all with the complete truth and that He (God) be our supporter and supporter. Amen!
