Phill Bisgrove
1952 - 2021
It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of our mutual friend and associate Phillip Bisgrove. On Wednesday evening after a short battle against cancer, with his family by his side, Phill passed away. It’s Phill’s wish for the business continue as normal. I know Phill was very grateful for the support and friendships he had with you all over the years and on his behalf I extend my thanks to you also.
In the early 1980’s Phill formed Sonaspection, originally intended to be an NDT service company. Whilst teaching UT at college, Phill ever the entrepreneur quickly realised the requirement for quality manufactured flaws for the training and qualification of NDT technicians. It was during this period, with the ever changing business landscape due to the development of the World Wide Web, that NDT Direct was created to offer on-line sales to the NDT world; just another example of Phill trying to stay one step ahead of the game. Both these companies are still operating with global success and renown, his legacy will live on in these businesses and he will be sadly missed especially by his Sonaspection “Old boys.”?

3 年Sad to hear this news. I worked with Phil in Willans Works Rugby. We started on NDT together on the Mag Pen section where he and I set up the material sorting section using a Metascop. I remember when it came the hand book was in German so we had to have it translated. He was great fun and always had time for everyone. RiP Phil.

3 年I was fortunate enough to have worked with Phill over the last few years. He was certainly an extremely industrious & compassionate gentleman. The NDT world wouldn't have been the same without him. My thoughts and prayers to his family & close friends.

3 年First worked with Phil in the 70's? In Rugby before he moved up north. Great guy to work with, although lost touch still have fond memories.
