Philippine President Appreciates WIR Group’s Technological Innovation Excellence and Explores Potential Collaboration Digital Transformation
The visit of the President of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos Jr., to Indonesia has become a crucial opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the two countries in advancing the digital economic growth of Southeast Asia. The Philippines is currently exploring strategies for digital transformation across various industry sectors. The Board of Directors of WIR Group had the opportunity to meet and engage in direct discussions with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and several Filipino ministers to discuss the potential implementation of WIR Group's technology ecosystem in the Philippines.

During today's event, Secretary of Trade and Industry, Department of Trade and Industry ?Alfredo Pascual introduced PT Mata Nilai Republik as a subsidiary of WIR Group to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., as a leading company in immersive technology platform solutions and commerce based on Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. In this meeting, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. greatly appreciated the technology developed by Mata Nilai Republik, which is seen as a driving force for digital transformation that will contribute to economic growth.
The Department of Trade and Industry of the Philippines (DTI), had previously expressed support for WIR Group's plan to enter the Philippine market. In July 2023, DTI invited WIR Group to speak at the National MSME Summit at the Manila Hotel, attended by high-ranking government officials and SME stakeholders from various industries.

During a visit to Manila last June, WIR Group also signed Memorandums of Understanding with several Filipino business partners to explore the development of technology solutions beneficial to the Filipino people. WIR Group is exploring the potential and opportunities for implementing trading platforms that can be used by the public to build their businesses, thus assisting SMEs and increasing their numbers in the Philippines. This effort is expected to contribute to the Philippine economy. The economic impact target is calculated based on how the technology possessed by Mata Nilai Republik can benefit the Filipino population. Previously, WIR Group successfully implemented this strategy in Indonesia.
During the meeting with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., WIR Group had the opportunity to showcase various technology modules based on AR, AI, and VR solutions. One of the technology solutions showcased was a Virtual Avatar of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., providing a unique and engaging experience for people to take virtual photos with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. The use of avatars here is an example of how future interactions can be conducted. This strategy addresses the needs of businesses continually seeking innovative methods to connect with target consumers and strengthen their brand identity for significant appeal.
