Predator Free 2050 is our moon-shot mission to restore our precious native species by eradicating, by the year 2050, the most damaging introduced predators in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Predator Free 2050 Limited is a Crown-owned, charitable company that partners with businesses, charities, communities, experts, government, global foundations and trusts, inventors, Iwi and philanthropists to get innovative, bold projects off the ground and delivered.
The response to the company’s mission over the last five years has been remarkable. Communities, government agencies, charitable trusts and landowners have embraced Predator Free 2050 as a nation-defining conservation movement.
New Zealand's iconic taonga species - kiwi, kea, kakapo, weta, pekapeka and tuatara - are on their way back into mainland habitats made safe through the removal of introduced predators, such as stoats, possums and rats.
Predator Free 2050 Limited’s part in this endeavour is to catalyse ambitious projects - places where we prove the possible - and commission innovative new products and breakthrough research that drive us toward the 2050 goal.
The Philanthropy Director will engage with a portfolio of business leaders, entrepreneurs, major donors and philanthropists at the highest levels across Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally.
You will be a powerful networker and inspire a high performing network of philanthropic leaders to advocate for the company’s fundraising needs among HNWIs, global foundations and charitable trusts.
Predator Free 2050 Limited is looking for a strategic thinker who will make a transformational impact on the future of our country’s ecology and natural environment and rescue our unique island biota from extinction.
You will report to the Chief Executive, sit on the Leadership Team and make a meaningful contribution to organisation-wide strategy at a dynamic period of growth for the company.
An appreciation of Tikanga Maori and Te Reo Maori is important.
