Ph.D. Day for the Architecture and Urban Design Doctoral School at Liège University

On the 17th of May 2022, we organized our Ph.D. Day at the Faculty of Architecture. This is an?event that is organized every year by the Doctoral School of Architecture and Urban Design for?researchers and professionals in doctoral education. The?main?idea is to bring Ph.D. candidates together?in order to share experiences, learn from each other and discover what’s new in doctoral support and education.?For this occasion, two presentations were given:

1. Eric Le Coguiec talked about different research methods used in Architectural Research

2. Axel Fisher held an interactive session, in the form of a short workshop, around the topic "Creating a publication strategy".

The Ph.D. day was a nice opportunity to meet the college members and ask your questions about doctoral training and the process in general.

The Doctoral College of Architecture and Urban Design at Liège University establishes the link between the doctoral student, his/her thesis committee, and the University Administration. In particular, it is responsible for admission, recognition of diplomas, designation of the supervisor, the thesis committee, and the thesis jury. Each year, it decides on the progress of work and on doctoral training.

The thesis committee is responsible for the scientific monitoring and evaluation of the student throughout the duration of the doctorate. The promoter is one of them, along with other specialists in the field of research. For further details visit the Doctoral school website: Click Here
