Pharma Serialization is assigning a unique code to the packaging of each drug and printing this code on the packaging by any method. There are two main points in this definition. The first is the unique code and the second is the drug packaging.
Track and Trace:
Transfer the SNs of packages into database for verification of product authenticity.
Track: Forward Movement of finished goods throughout the supply chain including excise duties and their volume (i.e. Origin of medicine to end users)
Trace: Backward Movement of finished goods throughout the supply chain (End user to origin of medicine; Suspected product, Recall etc.)
