The Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) recently submitted a petition to the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) seeking approval for tariff rates determined through competitive bidding under the PM KUSUM-C scheme. This initiative aims to solarize agricultural feeders at a local level to enhance sustainable energy usage in Gujarat’s agriculture sector. The tender process, part of the larger PM KUSUM scheme by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), covers various types of solar projects, with capacity allocations tailored for agricultural feeders.

The deadline for stakeholders to submit comments on the proposed amendments to the guidelines for tariff-based competitive bidding in power procurement has been extended by 15 days.
