PgMP standard is getting revised to Version-5 ! Application process is getting Simplified !!

Hi, ?Many of my clients received the below communication from PMI.? This is bit ambiguous and caused anxiety among many who are planning the exam.? Hence, this FAQ is for you to keep updated and to strategize the PgMP Prep.?

PLEASE NOTE: This info is valid till 11-Mar-2024 when a more clear communication is expected.

Usually PMI takes 1-year after the standard is published to transition the exam to the new standard.? This means you can expect the exam to align with The Standard for Program Management – Edition 5 from March 2025.?

Scenarios:

1.????? I have got the PgMP application approved and scheduled the exam in 2024.

<Harish> Continue with your exam preparation and take the exam, be a PgMP !

2.????? I have got the PgMP application approved, but not yet scheduled the exam:

<Harish> Please schedule the exam before Feb 2025 or at the possible earliest.

?

3.????? I have applied for the PgMP certification and also paid the fees.? Currently, the application is under panel review:

<Harish> Wait for the panel review to get pass through, and then schedule the exam before Feb 2025 or at the possible earliest.

?

4.????? I have applied for the PgMP certification and have not yet paid the fees:

<Harish> Wait for PMI to come to you with acceptance, continue with the process, pay the fees and then follow Scenario 3:

?

5.????? I am in the process OR plan to develop PgMP application. ?

<Harish> Wait till 11-March-2024.? As PMI communicated, you can expect 3-questions to be answered as compared to the current 5-questions.?? Reduced effort !
