?Geese: Geese are very territorial birds that make a terrifying ruckus if they feel threatened. They also have amazing hearing and, like most birds, razor-sharp eyesight, making them more adept at identifying unwanted visitors than even dogs. They will also usually charge fiercely towards the point of danger and give a strong bite, which may not be as dangerous as a Bulldog's bite but is usually enough to scare off would-be burglars.

Guinea Fowls: Strangers are treated as unwelcome visitors by the guinea fowl, who provide you with eggs and meat in addition to supplying you with eggs and meat. They are brave and will fight dogs, cats, people, and even snakes if necessary. They form a flock around their prey and attack.

Snakes: They don't create a lot of noise. Snakes hunt invisibly, which is part of their appeal. Would a burglar enter your home if your front gate had a "beware of the snake" warning on it? Most likely not. Even if your snake isn't poisonous, most people are terrified of snakes and will avoid them at all costs.

Parrots: Parrots may be useful guard pets in two ways: they can learn to bark, and when threatened, they can be violently protective of their owners.

Dogs: There are many different breeds of dogs that can prevent attackers and defend you, your family, and your belongings. An intimidating presence for would-be intruders or attackers is the German Shepherd (shown), Rottweiler, Doberman, Mastiff, and Pit Bull. These are just a few of the breeds that people keep as guard dogs or to patrol their property.

If security is your primary motivation for owning an animal, seek professional assistance. Also, keep in mind that animals are not as predictable as robots. Despite some similarities across breeds, each creature, like us, has its own temperament and personality. Thus, it involves a lot of planning.
