The past month has been a whirlwind of activity here at Petrosys | Interica ! We have not only been busy connecting with our customers at geoscience, data management and renewable industry events, URTeC, EAGE Annual 2024, PPDM Houston Convention, and Global Offshore Wind but with a commitment to advancing data interoperability in the energy sector, we recently joined the Interoperability OSDU Workgroup. With our well-established Exchange functionality we bring valuable experience in data exchange and connectivity to the group, and look forward to collaborating with industry leaders to drive innovation in this critical area.
But that is not all! The team have also been working tirelessly behind the scenes to bring you powerful new features and insightful content to help you navigate the challenges of the modern energy landscape.
New Software Releases and Feature Highlights:
dbMap? received a significant update, V.2024.2.1, designed to streamline your data management experience. This new version focuses on two key areas: enhanced security through Single Sign On (SSO) and improved functionality within Records Management.
A few weeks ago we also announced the release of Interica OneView? V.2024.1, packed with powerful new features and connectors and delivering enhanced control and visibility - with strengthened connections across DecisionSpace? and Petrel? and improvements to the SEGY handling.
For Petrosys PRO users, working with contours is a fundamental task. But what if you could remove the need to constantly switch modules? We dive into the exciting new Layer Gridding feature introduced in Petrosys PRO 2023.2, allowing you to grid your data directly within Mapping. Guru Steve is back with the latest blog post answering your questions.

At the EAGE (European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers) Annual event in Oslo, we presented on our data Exchange functionality and its connection to the Open Subsurface Data Universe (OSDU). Arild Hegerland also presented with Eliis on how to Maximize Discovery for Geological Discovery and Interpretation.
While our team in Houston have not only been exhibiting at Unconventional Resources Technology Conference (URTeC) , Connor Burt also presented at the PPDM Association Houston Convention on cloud storage for subsurface data. Cloud storage offers long-term cost benefits, but there are challenges to consider. Connor's talk explored these challenges and why finding a solution such as Interica OneView that connects to all your data – tape, disk, or cloud – with rich metadata for easy search and analysis, is crucial for informed decision-making and effective data policies.
