Petitions: A pen or a sword?

Petitions: A pen or a sword?

Petitions were always about a way of expressing people's grudges, a way of expressing thoughts. But little of the idea behind that has prevailed in these times. No matter what the concern is, petitions have become as handy as social media accounts.

Today, for every incident that's trending, if results against the public will, petitions is the new face of the protest. It's not that it is wrong, but neither is it right. Petitions came to use when the resulting decision was against the public welfare or their rights. What remains today is, the power of attorney that people has developed for themselves, anything that they thing should be going according to their will, if fails, a petition pops up. Whether it's a judicial decision or anything trending on social media, we have a petition for each of it, you just need to look for it.

The point is to use it wisely and not vaguely. Use it like a pen, wise enough to make a change and not as a sword, capable enough to kill the change.
