We are urgently calling for your support to petition Parliament to address a critical issue of gender bias in government policies—particularly those concerning domestic violence and the protection of vulnerable groups. Current initiatives, such as the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) campaign, highlight a significant gender disparity that neglects men and boys, leaving them invisible in the face of domestic abuse, exploitation, and societal vulnerabilities.
You believe in fairness. Balanced policies create better societies. Equality is essential for progress.
Men and boys deserve equal representation, protection, and access to justice—just as women and girls do. It is essential to recognize that violence and exploitation are not confined to one gender. Men and boys also suffer from domestic violence, exploitation, and psychological harm, often at the hands of female abusers. Alarmingly, boys are more likely to be neurodivergent, with higher rates of conditions such as autism and ADHD, making them particularly vulnerable to abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Despite this, the government does not adequately provide protection or support for boys and men, who often suffer in silence.
Further, men and boys in the UK face disproportionately high suicide rates, and sexual exploitation of boys and young men happens daily in our communities. Boys are more likely to experience maternal abuse, and those with neurodivergence are at especially high risk. Yet, despite these realities, there is no minister dedicated to the protection and advocacy of men and boys. A government for all should represent all.
Why is there no Minister for Men and Boys?
While the government rightly focuses on the vulnerabilities of women and girls, the needs and vulnerabilities of men and boys are often overlooked or ignored. The current system allows female abusers, particularly those engaging in coercive control, to weaponize policies like VAWG. The police and courts are often unwittingly complicit in this misuse. Women can, and do, exploit these policies to manipulate and abuse male victims, using the justice system as a tool for coercive control, leaving male victims unprotected and unsupported.
You believe in justice for all genders. True equality requires action. Everyone deserves representation.
The Ministry of Justice’s policies, as they currently stand, do not offer equality in design or implementation, perpetuating a harmful gender bias. This imbalance leaves male victims underserved and isolated, allowing their suffering to go unnoticed. Boys and men are being failed by a system that does not account for their unique vulnerabilities or provide equal access to protection, justice, and support.

Children who grow up in environments where female abusers are not held accountable suffer long-term trauma, creating cycles of damage that ripple through society. If we fail to address the systemic gender bias, we continue to harm future generations. Supporting fairness benefits everyone. Fairness serves the future.
We demand action now: the establishment of a Minister for Men and Boys, alongside a dedicated department focused on the protection of boys and men from domestic violence, exploitation, and systemic neglect. This would create a balanced and equitable approach, ensuring that both male and female victims of abuse and exploitation are equally recognized and supported by the government.
Stand for equality. Stand for balance. Men and boys deserve the same representation as women and girls.
Together, we can balance the scales. Your voice matters— and it can bring the change we need. People who care about fairness take action.
No victim, regardless of gender, should be left behind or made invisible by the system. Fairness is a human right. Equality means hearing both sides. Domestic violence policies should reflect everyone’s needs.
By signing, you stand for what’s right. Your voice matters—take a step toward balance today. You are part of the solution.
Please support this petition to ensure that men and boys are equally represented, protected, and have access to justice in the UK. It’s time to act.
