Pet Owners’ Go-To Resource for Dog and Cat Nutrition Information

Pet Owners’ Go-To Resource for Dog and Cat Nutrition Information

If there’s one thing that Americans have no shortage of, it’s information. There is a wealth of information on any given subject online, including social media and the internet. The reliability of that information is sometimes questionable, though.

?Lately, it seems that the internet and social media are full of conflicting information, especially regarding dog and cat food. Pet owners seeking advice on the best way to feed their furry family members will find opinions from people claiming to have the expertise to offer advice, but in reality, many of these so-called experts are passing along misinformation. Unfortunately, this distortion of the truth can sometimes cause nutritional deficiencies that can have dangerous health consequences for pets.

?With these issues in mind, the Pet Food Institute (PFI) has redesigned its website to better meet consumers' needs for accurate and trustworthy information. The goal is for PFI’s site to be the go-to resource for dog and cat nutrition and wellness advice. Pet owners need a safe place to find evidence-based nutrition information to make educated decisions on everything from what to feed their pets to how to protect them from the summer heat.

The new website is more modern and user-friendly. It is chockfull of helpful information, such as how pet food is regulated, the importance of complete and balanced nutrition and vitamins and minerals in diets, and our Vet Talks videos that inform pet owners about ingredients, choosing pet food, the dangers of pets being overweight, and more.

I invite you to check out PFI’s newly updated website. I hope you find that, in a time when the internet is full of misinformation, our website is a reliable resource and full of science-backed information to educate pet owners.

It looks great! But seeing that Inspire PR Group and Escape Hatch were part of it, I’m not surprised—had an outstanding experience with them creating the new website for Pet Advocacy Network . Well done!
