"Pessimism of the intellect, optimism of the will"- Antonio Gramsci
Very few revolutions succeed, but those that do often change or wreck every conventional ideal which had created the revolution in the first place. The history of Bangladesh since its inception in 1971 has been plagued with rulers who did not love this country. Evident from the fact that no ruler ever wanted a stable, lawful, and constitutional progression. History shows, they took their step considering one selfish thought at a time. Our current dictator is not an exception. An overwhelming support in 2008 may have fed the egotistical dragon more than it deserved. This dragon birthed a loyal bureaucracy, fed the ruling elite, and obstructed every facet of freedom all in the name of benevolence and an irreplaceable political narrative of development. Bangladesh in its sorrowful history never had leaders who could envision this country without themselves at the center of it.
Today, this generation broke this trend of 53 years. The boomer narratives no longer work, their smearing campaign failed, the fake humility has fell on its face, the old war era tactics of kidnapping did not work, and finally it seems there is no way out.
These 53 years could not corrupt those 6 organizers, these years are no longer capable enough to present the lies as truths, and history has chosen Sheikh Hasina as the final representative of the demagogues these 53 years have produced.

Just like in 1789, when the proletariats were ready to spit on the traditional narrative, fed up with the status quo, and finally ready to reclaim, redesign, and reestablished the republic in their own image, Bangladesh is also ready. But the question remains. What next? Will there be a Napoleon waiting in the future to reestablish what the revolution destroyed? Or will we see what the world has never seen, a utopia. There are no suitable alternatives, because they never wanted to produce one.
Whatever the case, it is clear that this generation has recognized and rejected its criminality, they have looked deep within and stood for an ideal. This simple gesture is enough to declare the revolution a success.
The killing won't stop, tomorrow they may shut you up for good, but this ideal, that you have introduced, is what this nation lacked. This generation has delivered. It is time to put the final nail in the pitiful coffin of the ruling narrative, it is time to write history, in your own words, not in the words of the demagogue.
