Hey,
It’s Adil here and today we’re talking about “the power of persuasion”
But before going into details, we need to get something super clear right off the bat...
What exactly is persuasion and sales??
Most people don’t realize it’s the sales which literally makes the world go around.?
Without it, you'd have nothing to go for, nothing to buy, and nothing to actually think about.
(Yes, it's very important.)
See, selling is EVERYTHING. It's communication. It's an influence. It's being able to persuade a crowd to take action.?
Whether you're trading goods, finances, ideas, or even interviewing for a job - it's all selling.
But persuasion is different..
Persuasion is like the misunderstood middle child in a family of three siblings.
You've got Influence (the golden child) on one side - all altruistic, making sure everyone wins, sharing the love. Very nice, very safe.
Then there's Manipulation (the dark side) - totally selfish, all about "me winning, everyone else sucking." Doesn't care how we get there, just that we do.
But Persuasion is the clever middle child who knows how to navigate both worlds.
It leans more toward the altruistic side, But (and this is crucial), it's not afraid to dip into the dark well of manipulation to get a positive result.
Let me break this down with a real example…
You can use shame to get someone to take an action which will ultimately benefit them.?
Or use guilt as a way to show someone how staying stuck is holding them back - then clear the path and help them move forward.
(Even better if your product or service actually helps remove the guilt.)
The real power comes in creating what I call a "triple win situation."
Yes, this is right.?
TRIPLE win.?
And no, it's not as difficult as you might think.
Here's how it works:

The key is in how you align it all together.
When you're being persuasive about your product or service, here's the magic formula:
Here's where it gets really powerful...
On a sales call, ask them: "What's the reason you want to make this big, dramatic shift in your life?"
Their answer would be pure emotional leverage.
And when someone tries to back out or walk away from something beneficial, you can simply say:
"Hey, I totally understand where you're going with this, and it's totally fine. I just want to remind you - one of the reasons YOU said you wanted to do [blank] was to get [their exact goals]. If that's no longer important, we can stop right now. But I believe you can hit those goals."
But here's the critical part most people miss…
If someone has a valid reason to walk away - LET THEM.?
We're not in the manipulation game here.?
Persuasion is about showing people their own commitments and asking if they still want to honour them.
Sometimes they'll say yes. Sometimes they'll say no.
If it's no? Simply say: "Okay, cool, no worries. I'll be here when you're ready. Just let me know if we need to update these goals in the future."
Remember: You never want to force someone to "eat their own words."
Instead, invite them to see what they said and help them get to their desired result.
The bottom line?
Use this approach, and watch how your sales and interactions transform.

P.S. You’ll notice how this entire email used the exact persuasion techniques we talked about. This is the beauty of it, when done right, persuasion feels like a natural conversation.
P.P.S. By the way, if you want to dive deeper into persuasion and sales, my Skool community has all these letters in longer form (and a lot more goodness). Comment below and I'll send you the details.
