Uncertain times open windows for significant change.
Alongside structural challenges like load-shedding, unemployment and crime, South Africa is seeing short-term crises manifesting in five areas namely:? macroeconomic volatility; disrupted supply chains; scarcity in resources; challenges to accessing healthcare services and struggling public institutions.?
In response to these five challenges, local businesses can have a positive impact on South African society by preserving and creating financial value to the benefit of stakeholders, localising supply chains,?doing more with available (scarce) resources, supporting access to healthcare for employees and increasing public-private collaboration.
This edition of our economic outlook delves deep into how local businesses can turn these challenges into opportunities to create value for their stakeholders and society in general.
