Changing thoughts changes behaviors; changing behaviors changes results
Oftentimes people become so consumed with the potential for failure or setbacks that they don’t even open their minds to the possibility of succeeding.?
We spend a lot of time talking about everything we have to do.
You have to finish 10 things at work.
You have to exercise today.
You have to cook dinner for your family.
Now, change one word in each sentence.
You don’t “have” to. You “get” to.
You get to finish 10 things at work.
You get to exercise today.
You get to cook dinner for your family.
The right perspective transforms your burdens into opportunities.
Change the way you look at things and the things you look at will change.?
One thing that separates people in life is what they choose to focus on.
Big Problems Lead To Big Opportunities
Every time things go to shit…
There's an immense opportunity to create new solutions.
Think of it this way...
Lots of problems = Lots of potential solutions.
Which leads to the potential to innovate our society…
...that can lead to new opportunities for an entire generation.
Every time there’s a lot of chaos…
Every time there’s a lot of unrest…
Every time there are a lot of issues…
While everyone else is freaking out…
You should be looking for ways to solve these problems.
History is written by the people who do.
The stories you attach your worth to in your mind…
Become the limits of your life in reality.
Most people are where they are…
And end up so much less than they could have been…
Because they didn’t think highly enough of themselves in their mind.
These people almost always have created part of their identity rooted in having the “hardest upbringing”...
They hold onto limiting thoughts such as...
"Bad things only happen to me"
"I wasn't born to be great"
"I don't have the skills that other people have"
They trap themselves in a self-fulfilling prophecy of perpetual struggle in life.
They never overcome it because they can’t shift their identity mentally…
They can't overcome the thoughts that limit their potential and dictate their reality.
Stop focusing on how hard you had it…
Stop identifying with thoughts that downplay your ability...
Start focusing on the progress you are making toward overcoming and stomping on the beliefs that limit your growth...
Your identity is your choice.
In times of uncertainty...
What do you see most people do?
They freak out and fall back into a defensive state.
Winners act much differently…
They see times of uncertainty as an opportunity to create even more space between themselves and everyone else...
They stay on course...

They focus on the fundamentals...
They focus on the habits that have gotten them this far ahead in life...
...and beat the hell out of their competition.
Isn't it crazy how such a simple shift in your perspective can completely change the course of your life?
Think about it.
An ingredient that all successful people must include when baking their “cake” of success is - making wise choices.
Within that point is your understanding of what you’re good at (and not good at) so you make sound decisions about where to invest your energy.
Bad time and energy investments will cost you more than any mistake you could make in any other area.
We are each unique in some way. Which means you can’t bake your best possible “cake” by blindly following what someone else has done. Their ingredients are at least slightly different from yours.
You can use their frameworks and strategies, but you can’t copy their every action.
Your time is better spent learning and knowing yourself. The better you know you, the more easily and smoothly you can implement what you learn from others, and the better chance that you put it to good use.
When you know yourself thoroughly, you can quickly and easily choose: what to do, and more importantly, what not to do — even when it’s worked great for someone else, you’ll know it’s not for you.
Many of us spend too much time doing things that we should never have even started, because we don’t know us well enough.
A person who knows themselves well gets really comfortable turning things — jobs, “opportunities,” time commitments, ideas — down.
Because they can decipher really easily what will work for them and what would be a waste of time and energy.
If you’ve found yourself doing too many things that just don’t seem to fit you, divert some of that “trying things” time into learning YOU.
It will make your decisions a lot better.
“Maintaining” Is Not An Option
What got you to where you’re at in life right now isn’t going to get you where you want to go.
There will never be a moment where you can just sit at idle.
What you like to call “maintaining”…
…is actually you going backward…
…while the rest of the world is going forward.
The people who constantly win and destroy everything in their path…
…are the ones who take every day as a new opportunity to level up their game…
…and exercise even more discipline, grit, and fortitude in their day-to-day tasks.
If you don’t do that…
You’ll forever stay stuck in your growth plateau…
Wondering why shit isn’t working for you.
Success Is Meant for You
Whether you realize it or not … how you think of yourself will determine the outcome of your life.
Here's how it works...
If you think success in life is reserved for certain "lucky" people, and you don't have what it takes to be successful...
You will close yourself off to success and always struggle.
But if you actually believe you have what it takes to be successful in life as long as you work hard enough, and for long enough...
Nobody can stop you from winning.
This shit isn't rocket science...
The problem is most people don't have belief in themselves because they have never stuck anything out long enough to produce real fruit.
Because they have never stuck anything out long enough to learn how The Universe works (work = results = belief) they falsely believe they don't have what it takes.
Sound familiar?
Here’s the truth...
Success is meant for you...
Just as much as it's meant for me.
Just as much as it's meant for anyone else.
Stop listening to people who have never done anything and start listening to that little bitty meek voice inside that knows you are capable…
…because you are.
You just gotta grind it out until it becomes apparent to you…
…and you’re off to the races.
The work always comes before the belief.
Understand that and work within that framework until it’s not only you who believes…
…it’s the entire world.
