A mere six months ago, U.S. stocks were priced LOWER than they are right now. A mere 12 months ago, U.S. stocks traded almost 10% LOWER than stocks trade now.
But six and 12 months ago, nobody was saying, "This is a screaming market deal!"
Instead, smart investors just carried on with their business. When they had money, they added it to a portfolio of low-cost ETFs.
That shouldn't change now.
No, the market isn't offering a screaming market deal. But that shouldn't matter. If you're working, just keep adding money when you have it. If possible, add money every month of every year.
If you're paying too much attention to daily, weekly, monthly or annual stock market movements, you're doing something wrong.

4 年That's absolutely true so long as the long term return from equities is above that of a riskless deposit. One has to make that assumption otherwise equity investment is pointless.
