Personas Need a Serious Update

Is your organization using personas? Have you updated them for the digital age?

In this week's video, I discuss the problem with the continued use of Personas as a fictional customer profile and give some solutions to how to update them with real data on real people and rethink them around behaviour, motivation and interests rather than demographics.

A discourse on the relative merits of different types of [ Kotler 101] segmentation is perhaps a little dated also? Surely, vanguard marketers abandoned personas long ago and are now using big data to generate lifetime value from segments of one?. Kudos for the video styling though - nicely done!
