Personal Trainers - Win Your Clients From Google Maps!
Paul Wu ? Fitness Business Architect
I’m building high-converting fitness websites. Built my own business from 0 to 8 figures and 48 employees. Went broke twice, gained wisdom.
It looks like you need more than just talk, ok.
Here's a step by step guide for personal trainers to get more clients organically. This is not for fitness coaches online, unless you're also a local personal trainer.
First things first register a business or obtain a DBA (Doing Business As) certificate, if you think you're too small for this then think again if you want it to be your bread maker or you're just testing waters because this guide is for people who make serious steps in their life.
What I'm about to give you is a complete pilot to start taking clients as soon as today - if you're lucky of course and your local competition didn't do it before you or not as good as I'm describing it here and you can outrank them.
Google Business Profile is going to be your friend here bare with me and I'll explain it step by step.
1. Get your business setup as mentioned above.
2. Build a link in bio website/landing page/sales funnel/calendar link/questionnaire with Lift Earnings - Gymfao
3. Create your presence online, sign up for social media accounts and company accounts in every possible place with the same name, address and phone number/website url to create citations. This builds trust to Google.
4. If you can afford it get a Google Workspace Gmail for your business, use the same domain that you use for your website. This also tells Google that your business is more legit and you get more points for the GBP.
5. Go to https://www.google.com/business/ and sign in.
6. Follow the steps to make the profile.

7. You want to make sure that the name of the profile is exactly the same as your registered business or the DBA, and then optimize the profile by writing the description, setting up your working hours, an address OR service area (if you don't accept visitors and most likely you don't have an office so you have to skip the physical location, focus on service areas you can pick up to 20), correct primary category and up to 9 secondary categories - these are also important.
8. Get verified, if your online presence was good enough for Google to see it, you will get instant verification, if not, then you will be asked for a live video verification - and you cannot skip this step. I can help you and I will most likely provide step by step guidance on how to record the video later on.
Now how to get ranked up high? Well, if you've done the basic optimization you can proceed with the most advanced one by setting up Google Chat FAQ on your profile, make about 10 Questions and Answers, and post as much as possible whether updates, offers or events. Google loves when the business is active and promotes them. Then add services and pricing.
But that's not enough. Now it's time to actually rank it up. You can get high ranking right after claiming the profile if your website has a lot of good content, your services are well described (one page for 1 service), you use lots of keywords, H1 and H2 tags, meta titles and meta descriptions are well optimized for search phrases, and your content focus on a specific niche rather than overall fitness.
Voila, now keep adding pages to your website and add them to GBP posts and keep ranking up. Updating your website will boost your profile the fastest.
Ohh, let's not forget to properly use Google Search Console https://search.google.com/search-console/welcome to make sure all your pages are visible in Google.
If you're not visible in Google well read it again or contact me.
Good luck.
