PERSONAL SUCCESS PLAN - Part II

Last Friday I posted an article , and the focus was personal success planning, On The Job. Tonight's list concentrates on life, off the job. As I said in my previous article, I read these some time ago, but after re reading it, I felt I should share it; especially in light of current events. These are all such simple rules to live by, but all of us need to be reminded. Since we are all human, we don't always follow the script, but, as in my previous article, there is a common thread. Hope you enjoy it. I did.
- Knowledge: I will take personal responsibility and be accountable for (a) knowing who I am. (b) where I want to go, and (c) how I am going to get there.
- Resources: I will take personal responsibility and be accountable for the resources that are available to me including the minutes and hours of every day. I will reliably conserve them, and use the wisely.
- Decisions: I will take personal responsibility and be accountable for how I think. I will adopt the methods and techniques of identifying and acting upon the relevant and representative facts of life.
- Performance of Others: I will take personal responsibility and be accountable for the performance and welfare of family members, friends, and others who have been entrusted to my care.
- Relations with Others: I will take personal responsibility and be accountable for how I interrelate with others. I will respect their dignity and self worth.
- Communications: I will take personal responsibility and be accountable for having the ability to effectively listen, speak, read, and write so that I can understand others and others can understand me.
- Safety: I will take personal responsibility and be accountable for seeing and avoiding the hazards and pitfalls of life.
- Tolerance of Adverse Conditions: I will take personal responsibility and be accountable for how I cope with adverse conditions. Those I can change I will change. Those that I can't I will learn to live with.
- Mental/Physical Health: I will take personal responsibility and be accountable for effectively improving and maintaining my health in order to withstand the rigors of daily life. In particular, I will avoid abusing my health.
- Applying My Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Finally, the best ideas and intentions mean nothing if not acted upon. I will take personal responsibility and be accountable for efficiently and effectively taking action.
This has been edited to correct any prior glitches. Hope you all enjoy these.

4 年Jenny, I have edited it and republished. Let me know if it is ok now. Thanks, Dino
Hello, Dino! I enjoyed your first "on the job" list and was waiting for this one. However, it appears to be missing some content. (LinkedIn glitch, perhaps?) Would you mind re-posting, or sending me this "personal life" list via messaging? I am interested in printing it, and using it as "journaling" prompts. Like many others, I too have lost sight of some of these concepts and plan to challenge myself to get back on track. Thank you!
