Considerations on Mediation and Media Design

Art serves a twofold assignment before Society while bestriding on the verge of Ideology and Aesthetics.

This is because Visual Culture remain profoundly ascribed in the human Nature, in virtue of the conscientious faculty, and thus appertaining to the Semantical Sphere of Human Intellect, Predilection and Imaginary. Representational means of artistic expression render sensoral while purveying and conveying semantical pertinence -meanings.

 Art's finality and utter meanings (to this point, I veer -and dare- to account for Art in a certain pitch of Personification, as if Art were not just a piece of craftswork, but ratherly a distinct person. I tend so only as to depict the sociological imminence and impact that the Art realm and collectivity may assert and contend..)

Art, as a frame of expression, appeals first and forthwith, to sensoral Conscioussness, then to human Intellect and Imaginary. It conveys representations and meanings through.

What is Art pertains so to personal taste, also mentionned as flair, and in the same time integrates the so called: ? Common Taste? and Collective Imaginary. It remains a remarkable paradox though, that those two afferent concepts do not pair that well..together... not in consonance.. that is because they appertain to seperate sociocultural frames of mind and distinct frames of Time, as time-evidence. they both, valid and functional claim respectiveness to the same aesthetico-intellectual phenomenon: Common Sense and Common Taste.

To the other side of the artistic firmament, there stands upon virtuosity, that is style and deftness of the artistic producer ( author, in some more restrictive sense and scope, and producer as to crafts. I avoid the term author-ship as conveying mostly a litteral bend, whilst representational means also ascibe technical instructions, stylistic instances and School prerogatives. Not to ommit the long course of the traditionnal vogue, presumingly classic vogue of Visual Arts. There along Style postures in terms of scholarly, scholastic instructions once set, then distilled in terms of prerogative... which finally spared us the incontestable outcome and Stock of the Art Masterpieces. Through and along this knot and thorny course it was that the term ART assumed social assignation. Works of Art earned reputation, then popularity, then they came on demand, finally on Trade, and finally became commercial and pop. This is short retrospect on the Democratization of Media, so imminent to be dispatched and overturned, all time: an outline as to take short notice of...(not the least, annotating the long and hardshiped courses of 'voice into the void', such as now; ..presumingly.) , but for Masterpieces and their masterals no chance, would there be for the Art's political stance and statement. long course to roam along, and dues to pay as to political movements not just contextualizing but mainly setting up the horizon. Art assists or confronts Ideology. Political and Media reformation is a fruit of strife and struggle, not the type of pleaasure and resort. We take recourse to art's requisition of meaning and pertinence, if only to recreate it entails servitude.. art shouldn't serve an utensil to sovereignity. Masterpiece implies Dignity. Mastermind conception owe's her dues to copyright, this is not as to an ignominate operational execution of paste.postership.

 The assignation of Art to concrete techniques and stylistic pretentions, results for either expository or, otherwise, manifest, manifestating instances. Strife and strike remain innate terms to art's finality. Artists may take refuge to Art in contention of freedom, and volition to expression. art movements appoint the contention to critically thinking and displaying as an assertion of thought in spite and contrast to other's profession of creed. Art's pretention in grounds of Modernity in brief.. or else the brief to Here and Now.

The term of ?modern? assigns together the notions to trade, to trend and to Modernity, the latter one, presumed either in the air of Innovation, or in the trade of Journal Mediation. It remains a riddle to appoint adjourned meditation on journal Mediation, how else should ever be enunciated the concept of the modern and contemporaneous? if not, as

 Modernity epitomized by and as Media and Art.

Once there be the Radio Signal, to stand for the tech-stream actualisation. By the digital Revolution, the Visualisation Era came up and forth, so as to account for some particularly revised conception of the Modern, alternately assigned as Post-Modernity.

 Nowdays, the classical and classified contentions of artistic vocation and stylistics gave place to the Digitalware Equipment of Edge Technologies.

As to my appreciation, classic or digital, both streams are valid and valuable, but for the remark that classical Schools today can take hold of New Technologies, -certainly if once appraised so-, to accomplishing and refining the final outcome.

 High-edged Media and Technologies all assist strenuous attempts to and forth Edge Measurement processes and results.

Once Art, now technology enthralled the risks of uniformity, conventionality and propaganda, the more technology dilates and expatiates, the less room lefts for protest and dissention, not ommitingly.. now retrieving to personal flair

Only, a word as to Modern Architecture and Classical Sculpture with respect to Edge Technologies, the final outcome arises to be radically evolved and manifestedly apperfectionned conjointly to concised expenses and in consortium to the traditional lanes on Creation and Production.

I hereby, long to embroil and encompass the significant of ?Production?, in advise and with respect to the ?productive Means?, of art as process and creation, or even regarding Art as to inherent commissions and enrollments.

 This is not a premonition to Applied Arts, but mostly, a tribute to technical progres. Technology, to all aspects and by all means, abides for advanced measurements and sounder results.

On the other part, Applied Arts and Graphic Media logistics stand for the Press establishment and dissemination.

If not aforehand established, Media Communication and the so called ?our Mediated Modernity? would risk to be undermined and inhabilitated. Dissemination, into the bargain, why should it be conceived to the negative bend or value? Why Media should them be considered as virulent, and not the Political, the Political Reasoning and Discourse as baffling and inconsistent?

Not ommiting the shrift: the once criticized topics of actuality yield their bench to the dumb Seat.

Only with a view to appoint and explain my personal statement and motivation to Design Studies, did I drift into evaluation and assessment of current visual modernity.

 It remains an objective and objection for me to compromise myself through the course of Creative Technology and Critical Visualism, as graphics and design could they probably be set out and denominated.
