Personal Reflections of the Year Ahead

As I reflect on the year that was, 2023 stands out as a pivotal moment in my life and the evolution of the company we built up from scratch - Swarna Agency. A journey that started with uncertainty and challenges unfolded into moments of growth, resilience, and newfound independence.

In the spirit of transparency, I'll spill the beans – our top management underwent a significant shift this year. The departure of a key member marked a significant shift in our dynamics. Suddenly, the reins of responsibility and decision-making rested firmly in the hands of Zaky and me, thrusting us into the role of stewards for this fledgling team of intrepid creatives who want to change the world. What seemed like an overwhelming responsibility turned out to be a remarkable opportunity for growth and leadership.

Never in my wildest dreams that I would be leading a digital marketing agency. My expertise lay in human resources, and the intricacies of the digital and creative industries were uncharted territories. Well, we all gotta start from somewhere right? So with each passing day, I embraced the challenges, learning everything about the job on the fly. The past three years have been a rollercoaster of learning, adaptation, and continuous growth. And here we are today, an up-and-coming digital marketing agency with an incredible team and international clients boasting phenomenal businesses. Even with the success, I have remained grounded knowing the fact that the hard work and perseverance never ends.

Whenever a key pillar of an organization leaves, it often leaves everyone rudderless especially when that person has mentored your formative steps and seen you grow. However, we see that differently as it gives us our newfound independence - an opportunity for us to do things differently and the way we want to.

Just like a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly, we evolved and adapted to growing changes around us. When we thought we were down and out, we are like the mythical phoenix rising from the ashes. Although we bore different names in the past, Swarna was always the beating heart of our agency, a name chosen with intent and purpose. This moment signifies our rebirth and sets the stage for our journey into global prominence. It's time for the world to witness the brilliance of our talented team.

To prepare for this transformative phase, we undertook several key initiatives:

Leadership Training: All leaders underwent extensive leadership training, including my own three-month program with Dale Carnegie. This not only refreshed my understanding of human relations and leadership but also provided valuable insights for the journey ahead.

Continuous Learning: I invested time in online courses covering various aspects of digital marketing, brand management, consumer neuroscience, and project management. It was a commitment to stay ahead in an ever-evolving industry.

Internal Training and Workshops: Our commitment to growth extended to internal training, workshops, and sessions conducted by external experts. Sharing knowledge within the team became a cornerstone of our culture.

Internship Program: Our internship program flourished, enlarging our talent pool, nurturing succession planning, and enhancing our employer branding.

Rigorous Business Development: We established internal task forces, embraced marketing references, and diligently worked on our brand's visibility through SEO, SEM, and social media. It was time to prioritize our brand, just as we've done for our clients.

Looking ahead, I am optimistic. We have a team that embodies accountability, independence, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. This year, we introduced routine town hall meetings, fostering a deeper connection within our team and ensuring alignment with our organizational vision and mission.

On a personal note, my daughter turned two last year, adding a beautiful layer to the tapestry of my life. The flexibility of remote work allowed me to witness her growth and curiosity, a reminder of the importance of a harmonious work-life balance.
