2 年Thank you Rohit Prabhakar for compiling this list of do's and don'ts for limiting personal information on the web. In addition to these I found that locking ones social security number prevents unauthorized creation of any financial accounts under ones name be it credit card, bank loan, purchase of property or any big ticket item on credit. Any suspicious / fraudulent applications are immediately flagged by one of the three credit monitoring bureaus Experian TransUnion and Equifax. This is especially helpful for those whose identity is already compromised.
