A personal note for fellow and aspiring Entrepreneurs

A personal note for fellow and aspiring Entrepreneurs

To every entrepreneur out there—those who’ve taken the leap of faith and left behind the safety net of a job, family time, and financial security—I truly admire you. I’m walking this path, and it’s anything but linear. It’s a journey filled with the highest highs of optimism and hope, but also the lowest lows of uncertainty, self-doubt, and sacrifice.

You’ll feel exhilarated when you create something impactful, only to sometimes wonder if you’re moving in circles. You’ll miss moments with loved ones and feel the pinch of financial strain, but you’ll also find hidden reserves of strength and resilience you never knew you had.

What I’ve Learned Along the Way

When I started, I thought I had most of it figured out. I quickly learned I didn’t. I rolled up my sleeves to do things I once avoided—like sales—something I feared and looked down upon. But I soon realized sales is all about simplicity, trust, and competence—the bedrock of any venture. And once you get that, it’s both empowering and fulfilling. It doesn't matter - that I have been failing in it, so far, but then realizing I am sharpening my saw with every interaction.

I made mistakes. Many of them. In managing finances, in handling people, and in believing too much or too little in certain paths. But I learned to recover. I learned that hard decisions are part of the game—choosing culture and attitude over pure skill, cutting down spend on some areas while doubling down on what truly matters.

Support came from unexpected corners, while others I counted on went silent. I had to learn, unlearn, relearn, and often cross-learn in areas clouded by assumptions, perceptions and surface knowledge. Each mistake became a stepping stone.

Managing time, setting priorities, balancing social and professional commitments, and carving out time to reflect—it’s a constant work in progress. And yes, there’s solitude. Lots of it. But also unmatched excitement, fun, and the sense of celebration when you cross even the smallest milestone.

5 Takeaways for those who wish to start on this journey sooner:

  1. Embrace the Emotional Rollercoaster: Optimism, hope, solitude, doubt—they’re all part of the package. Learn to ride the waves and trust that every low is temporary.
  2. Fall in Love with the Process, Not Just the Outcome: Whether it’s creating, selling, or managing, every piece of the puzzle matters. Each effort builds the foundation of your venture.
  3. Mistakes Are Your Best Teachers: You’ll fail, but the key is to fail forward. Each mistake is a lesson, and each lesson strengthens your resolve.
  4. Support Will Surprise You: Don’t let unexpected rejections derail you. Focus on the support you do have—it often comes from the least expected places.
  5. Build Resilience and Adaptability: Unlearn what doesn’t work. Relearn what does. Adapt constantly. The world—and your business—will demand it.

This journey is not for the faint-hearted, but it’s the most rewarding experience you’ll ever have. The skills you’ll gain, the resilience you’ll build, and the person you’ll become are worth every ounce of effort.

Play this game to experience it fully. Build. Learn. Celebrate. Fall. Rise. You’re not alone on this path. Trust me, the journey is worth it. Keep going !

This is great Shashank... I'm not sure how many will actually experience these the same way unless they quit working for others and take up an adventurous journey like yours. I'm happy that you spoke about 'Support' part. This surprised me as well. I realized people will help you more in business than in job. Please keep sharing more... Let the copper glow.
