Personal Mission: Re-New Mothers
Colart Miles
Strategic Advisor | Helping Leaders Build Resilient, High-Performance Organisations
About 4 years ago I was part of a small but deeply special initiative which aimed to provide support to Mothers in need in our Auckland communities. Founded by Graziella Thake and dubbed Wahine Purotu ("Beautiful Woman" in Maori), we set about the work of finding and supporting mums who were going through difficult times and helping them to rediscover their self-esteem. To me the downstream ripple effects of this were obvious... stronger mums means happier children and ultimately a stronger community. This initiative has continued to inch onwards and has touched the lives of over 400 women in the greater Auckland area.
Three weeks ago, we hosted and facilitated an unprecedented event which launches the new Charitable Trust, The Re-New Mothers Trust, that will carry this work forward and aim to reach mums everywhere.
To launch this we pulled together 120 of our most loyal supporters and collaborators and, well, we wrote a book... all in one day.
A WORLD FIRST... WE WROTE A BOOK IN ONE DAY!
I'm very pleased to announce that we published this book on Amazon Kindle yesterday. It's called "Ignorance Isn't Bliss" and we really need your help...
We want to achieve "Best Seller" status so that it's easier for the book to be available to mums everywhere... To do this I need friends, colleagues and families to download the Kindle version of the book here:
https://tinyurl.com/re-newmothers
If we can work together to get over a 1000 downloads within the next 5 days we stand a really good chance of this becoming a best seller.
Are you with me on this? If so please click the "Buy Now" button (also, did I mention it's FREE!)
