Personal History inside a Golden Globe

Every autumn, I rewind a part of my personal history by viewing a few episodes of Band of Brothers. If I was part of my father's generation and had flown in the 7th Military Airlift Squadron back when it had C-47 aircraft, I might have been one of the stressed faces in the cockpit of Day of Days.
I'm indebted to Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Dreamworks (now Playtone) for producing this excellent and accurate portrayal of history.
For my part, I have a vicarious connection, my airborne wings, and several hundred hours of flying the C-141 Starlifter (above) during live airborne missions over California and Africa. Nowadays, I share part of these memories as structured discussion sessions with creative media students on the Clonmel Digital Campus.
