Personal growth: How to connect with yourself before you can inspire and empower others.

Our senior partners reveal why leaders must connect with themselves first before they can inspire and empower their organisations. They have spent countless hours working closely with seasoned leaders and aspiring professionals. Their studies have revealed a fascinating business phenomenon: when you master all the right skills, including financial acumen, strategic and operational management, and system thinking, you still struggle to link your aspirations with actual performance.

We concluded that on a deep psychological level, these otherwise talented people were not reflecting enough about who they truly are, rather than what they think they are.

This is a great opportunity to show why?advocating for yourself is vital?to professional growth and personal development.?Our research represents just a sample of?how you can best put your career change?into focus.

For this reason, we have decided to focus on?positive advocacy, which entails implementing new behavioural patterns coupled with strategic action. Dr. Joe Dispenza, a keen advocate of positive advocacy links energy thought enhancement with the quantum field. It looks like he's taken a page from Brother Einstein's playbook. This is a proven path to authenticity.

Positive advocacy demands transformation. Transforming complex challenges into enhanced skills performance with tangible results is not just a game for Zen masters.?It is also a workable plan for managers and business leaders who wish to make a viable and healthy impact on their companies and communities. Certain practices teach us to use our emotions and feelings to catalyse?our energy into positive channels for realignment.

The value of positive advocacy

Until you "surrender", as they say in Buddhism, you will not be able to channel your positive psychology. Our thoughts shape and reshape our destiny. So, if you do believe that words and thoughts matter, you must change your?mindsets?to generate positive outcomes. Once you do, your energy will vibrate at a higher frequency. This is why we counsel the need to be conscious of your unconscious self. Unfortunately, certain people still promote toxic work environments. The reason is apparent: these "leaders" still believe in a zero-sum ethos, hence poisoning the lives of their colleagues with a perverse pleasure.

What negativity does

Do not underestimate the power of?negative energy.?These are not mere words I am suggesting. In the past, I also experienced the power of what the dark side could do to people unprepared to handle intense situations. One principle teaching is not to let your mind generate a victim identity. Put simply, stop feeling sorry for yourself. Stop telling others your "story". It will only keep you stuck in a cycle of further suffering. Only in the power of presence can there be forgiveness. When you fully surrender to yourself, no one can harm you.

Part of your hurdle is not knowing the truth. For example, our past experiences build a residue in our minds and cellular body. We reproduce the same biological reactions and harvest negative results when similar situations occur. We may not seek to do this consciously, but that is the result. When our emotions drive our thoughts, we create a cycle of illness and suffering. Why? Because it is consistent with our state of being. The Buddha struggled with this illusion like the rest of us. Then, he found the key to overcoming this negative paradigm. That is why he and other great souls urged everyone to practice mindfulness.

Check the facts. Science has proved beyond a shadow of a doubt how your biochemistry is altered by negative thinking.?Biochemists state that your personality affects how you think, act, and eat, thus, dictating your reality. To change this pattern, you must break your old behavioural patterns. Scientists refer us to neurological programming.

Their research demonstrates that each thought creates a chemical reaction in the body that corresponds to what you think. Hence, negative thoughts trigger enzymes that generate pain and the fear of pain. To further support their arguments, they cite that 95% of what happens to us is “memorised behaviours”. Only 5% of our thoughts relate to our conscious mind. Given these results, we need to be cognisant and watch our thoughts consciously to re-programme our state of being by being mindful.

Positive advocacy is on your side. When transitioning to a better career, make this the moment your career blossoms.
