Personal Growth: With AI, Gerd, and No-Code
Howzit guys,
As much as I love long weekends and public holidays, it always throws me out a bit, even starting a work week on a Tuesday takes some getting used to.
?Must be all that downtime messing with my "productivity," but hey, that's the beauty of taking a break!
?On a serious note, taking a break is something we all know we need to do, yet beyond the acknowledgment most won't take the hint.
?So, I am gonna be candid with you. Put the kettle on, grab that chamomile tea, and let's have a chat about what's been on my mind lately.
Here are this week's TLDR nuggets:

?100 Days of No-Code Journey: Reflections and Insights
?My beautiful 100 school journey has now come to an end. Though paradoxically, it's only beginning.
?I remember thinking when I first began, jeez April is like months away.
?Anyhow, let us get on with it, I'd love to share what I have learned from my 100 days of No-Code with you.
?My 12 No-Code Lessons
1.????? You?are never too old to reinvent yourself.
2.????? It's never too late to change careers, even in your 40s.
3.????? Believe in your abilities.
4.????? You can always learn new skills.
5.????? Anything is possible.
6.????? Use technology wisely.
7.????? No code requires a new mindset.
8.????? Don't let time be an excuse.
9.????? No-code is more than just tools.
10.? Data Mapping is a skill and takes effort.
11.? Learning is a continuous journey.
12.? Stay curious and keep exploring.
These lessons have not only equipped me with new skills but have also fundamentally shifted my perspective on what's possible when you commit to lifelong learning.
Continuous Learning: 100 Days of AI
Since I am a sucker for continuous learning, I enrolled in the 100DaysofAI.
?What's cool about this challenge, is that it's a combo of theory and practical and it holds you accountable via an online community.
So Why, have I been studying for 9 months and completed 30 different AI courses?
I am not satisfied.
I want to see AI from as many varied perspectives as I can, in theory, in practice, through webinars, research papers, etc
From IBM to Linkedin to Microsoft, I want to see how each company tells its GenAI story.

Diverse voices are essential in AI.
We need to challenge biases in algorithms, which means embracing diversity and actively learning about responsible AI.
This is a complex but crucial topic.
The Future Belongs to Us: Gerd Leonhard's Inspiring Talk
After indulging in a Chocolate Egg, followed by a double espresso, I dragged myself to the lounge, on Easter Sunday, and watched a moving talk by
Gerd Leonhard where he reminds us that the Future belongs to us!
If keen to see this full talk, it's here on YouTube: https://bit.ly/4ai1D4d
The Good Future Versus the Bad Future
More than ever, it's up to us!
As we are in an age of creation, what will we use our enhanced AI and No-code powers to build?
?Think about it: when we build something new, are we ready to own the consequences?
And should people using it own up to how they use it – for good or bad?
The bottom line, the future is about how we think.
We must choose to look at this new world with brave eyes.
?Overcoming the Fear: What's Left for Me as a Worker?
I feel that this is a big issue, and it's one of the reasons why many are afraid to adopt AI, No-Code, and Automation.
After all, who wants to be without a job?
?However, after reading many AI thought leaders, AI experts, and keynote speakers' lectures, I am more at ease, as our ancestors too went through times of great uncertainty and change.
There is a brilliant piece from the World Economic Forum that I want to share with you.
?"The First Industrial Revolution used water and steam power to mechanize production. The Second used electric power to create mass production. The Third used electronics and information technology to automate production. Now a Fourth Industrial Revolution is building on the Third, the digital revolution that has been occurring since the middle of the last century. It is characterized by a fusion of technologies that is blurring the lines between the physical, digital, and biological spheres."
?We're living through the 4th Industrial Revolution, a unique turning point where tech is transforming every industry – think music, farming, even law!
It's a privilege to witness such massive change.
Visionaries like Gerd even urge us to think long-term, embracing what he calls the "Sustainability Revolution."
To notice that opportunity lies amongst the fear, change, and global uncertainty.
We just need to be willing to learn new skills, as AI after all is a tool.
What will you do with this magic?
?Mandela reminds us: "Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you!"
?That's why I know the Good future and all that Pollyanna optimism is for me.
?We serve humanity more when we discover Joy in the work we do.
My journey through No-Code, AI, and Gerd's inspiring words has shown me that personal growth and embracing change are the keys to shaping a future we can all be proud of.
So go and do something that makes your voice shake, enroll in that course, and change your future one day at a time.
?Blessings always,
