I believe personal development impacts greatly on organisational development. If each person is a skillful performer, the organisation might be grown firmly. Of course there are a lot of factors, but I want to emphasize the importance of self-development. When you are serious with your career path and you want to stick with one organisation, then your personal development might help it grow with you. That is two-way relationship. 

Nowadays, in high-tech century, self-development is the key of success. As you know already, many companies when recruiting, they always said that they didn't hire the best, they hired the most suitable candidate. So who is the most suitable candidate? This answer is for each of you, depending on the company and position you want to apply for. But at first, you should equip yourself with knowledge, skills, network, and a will to challenge. You may not be a perfect candidate with highest GPA or the best seller in Top 10 companies, but you can make yourself suitable if you have self-development mind.
