Personal Checks
Good morning to all my readers and whoever will be reading this article. It is to do with personal checks or the use of personal checks when it comes to the retail industry. I am writing this because it is something that most customers haven't talked about in a while and also I am writing this as an add on or response to an article that I read in the CNBC website regarding Target Inc, the retailer that has been around for a long time and had somewhat of a small success in Canada.
Regarding Target, I am not here to write about their failure here in Canada. I am writing about them and this topic since the company has decided to stop taking personal checks from their customers when it comes to paying for their items due to the lack of demand for them and maybe the work that it took Target to process these transactions when it comes to personal checks. The story also surprised me because I was thinking to myself that Target is just now stop taking personal checks from their customers.
Which also tells me that Target Inc and other retailers in the USA are way behind when it comes to technology in retail because most retailers here in Canada have already stopped taking personal checks as direct payment let alone stopped taking company/business checks as a whole since they take too long to process. Plus with personal checks, sometimes most customers are not aware of the amount of money they have when it comes to writing checks and end up bouncing the checks if they don't have enough funds in their accounts.

Plus, with the technological advances that have been made over the years regarding purchasing and taking payments from either items like PayPal, gift cards, credit cards and debit cards to say the least, why would any retailer want to go backwards to the days when most companies took personal/business checks and waited to get their money in the bank since most banks closed on the weekends and not doing business until Monday since most banks only opened on most business days.
So, I will end this article with those thoughts.
