Personal Bragging ?? or Personal Branding? ??

It was a hot topic that I had recently with some of my peers.?

Are you known as a personal bragger who blow your own trumpets?????Or

Do you have a strong personal brand where people are blowing your trumpets??????

I have many experiences on LinkedIn and Facebook that turned me off instantly.???♀???♀???♀?

Most people would send me their very 1st personal message and without making an effort to get to know me, they would immediately brag about themselves, telling me about what they do and all of their accomplishments and then asking me to check their website, read their marketing materials, attend their events or listen to their business idea. And such a behaviour, is done by the so called professionals.??

It made me feel, like I've been force fed to eat something that I didn't ask for.?

It's a turn off because I am a firm believer of the old saying, "people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care".???????

So how do you build your personal brand and have people bragging about you?

??STOP, seeing people with dollar signs on their forehead.

???START, treating people genuinely. Help them whenever you can, teach them something, share your knowledge, acknowledge them for what they've done right, let them know the beauty you see in them. When you are generous with people, people will be generous to you.

Perhaps you have a message, you have a story that you want to share with the world and make an impact.?

What work for me are:

?Speaking from my heart,

??Digging into my WHY,?

??Staying true to my intention to empower others.

When I do that, everything just flow through. What I feel inward, is projected outward. That, to me, is the true power of influence.?????

Your personal branding is about being someone who makes a difference and leave others better of than before, even with your little act of grace.???
