Personal Agility is a powerful tool for both individuals and organizations to use to optimize performance, with the mantra of "Doing More of What Matters". My introduction to Personal Agility was in Summer 2020, in a workshop led by Maria Matarelli and Lyssa Adkins, which helped me focus more with intention on how to optimize my own life and direction.
In the last six months, I have found ways to apply the toolkit as a leadership tool, to accompany some of my new work on how to lead the empathic enterprise. Providing leaders with a toolkit, combined with my own empathic tools actually not only allows them to find "What Matters Most" by understanding what the people in their organization need in order to thrive. Once they work with the teams in their organization to check their organizational pulse, they can then create a roadmap using the methods in Personal Agility to map out their North Star for the organization.
In summary, Personal Agility is not only for individuals, but is a powerful tool that can be used by leaders within organizations to lead with intention as well as empathy. I have started to see some remarkable results and insights from teams who are adopting this methodology, and am excited to see what the future holds for them.
