In person events

In person events

In an era dominated by online conferences and virtual meetings, the value of in-person events has never been greater. They offer a greater degree of engagement, networking, and relationship-building that only face-to-face interactions provide with immediacy.

For accountancy professionals, attending live events is more than just collecting CPD points—it’s about sparking real conversations, sharing insights, and building trust with peers, clients, and industry leaders. The chance encounters, informal discussions, and spontaneous learning moments that happen over coffee breaks or networking lunches simply can’t be replicated online and the Alternative Events summit is SO good at doing just that.

Having a room full of engaged professionals creates an energy that fosters collaboration, innovation, and deeper understanding of the industry and what everyone is going through. I am certainly looking forward to the Samoan Circles on both days and the challenges that will undoubtedly come out.

I always find someone new and interesting to speak to - and there is plenty of choice form friendly speakers to fascinating exhibitors as you are able to get a clear idea of people and begin to build trust which is the foundation of every successful relationship. And trust isn’t built through screens—it’s built through human interaction. It means you get to:

  • Demonstrate credibility – Clients and peers gauge trust through body language, tone, and personal engagement.
  • Show commitment – Being present at these events signals that you are invested in professional development and industry trends.
  • Engage in meaningful dialogue – Trust is nurtured through open, honest discussions—something digital platforms often struggle to replicate.
  • Create lasting impressions – A firm handshake, eye contact, and authentic conversation go a long way in cementing relationships.

If you are there over the next few days - please do say hi and let's see what happens next!
