Permission to Take a “Do Over”

Permission to Take a “Do Over”

What if we all had the chance to take a “mulligan” at least once in our business lives?

That is, use the proverbial golf do-over rule as a way to reset our goals and expectations—and take that shot one more time, but this time from a whole new perspective.

Ahmie Baum, an ex-UBS advisor describes his transition to independence in that very way.

While he was perfectly comfortable at UBS a decade ago, he started to see things differently when his son Brian joined the business. Ahmie gained a new sense of confidence in their growth and the courage to do it all over again.

It’s this week’s featured podcast episode—an engaging perspective from a wirehouse veteran who chose a new path based on answering the call of one key question:

“What would you do if you weren’t afraid?”

Plus, due diligence is often seen as a way to vet another firm or model—but what if it served as a way to see yourself and business through a new lens?

This week’s featured article looks at key areas to reassess during the process—an opportunity to get reacquainted with your business and gain a new level of clarity.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Best,

Mindy

Love this Mindy Diamond! I utilized a similar approach with one of my clients this morning - makes for a terrific gap analysis to identify where to make some course corrections.
