Permanent "type" concrete deck / driveway CRACK REPAIR!

Good morning,

I have had several inquiries about the post I made on "permanent type concrete pool deck & driveway crack repairs".

Typically crack repairs on pool decks and driveways etc are done by widening the existing cracks and then filling them with various products, from cement based to epoxies. This repair will immediately give the area a much better look, BUT it is ONLY a TEMPORARY REPAIR.

Normal expansion and contraction, ground movement, etc etc will often in a very short period of time make the cracks reappear. And now you have the same or even worse appearance.

We use what we call stitching, this secures the concrete so that under normal expansion and contraction conditions the crack will not open up again, giving you a what we refer to as a permanent "type" repair. This technique was developed in areas of the world were earthquakes are way to frequent and damages to concrete foundations, driveways, decking etc are a common. This eliminates the need for expensive removal and replacement of existing concrete in most cases.
