PERITONSILLAR ABSCESS OR QUINSY AND HOMEOPATHY

BARYTA CARBONICA
Quinsy. Suppurating tonsils from every cold. Smarting pain when swallowing, worse empty swallowing. Twitches and smarting pain in throat. ?Stinging pain in tonsils, pharynx and larynx. Submaxillary glands enlarged. Feeling of a plug-in throat. Can swallow liquids only. Sudden waterbrash. Much burning in throat. Thick phlegm and offensive breath.
HEPAR SULPHUR
Quinsy with impending suppuration. Stitches in throat extending to the ear when swallowing. Hoarseness with loss of voice. Hawking up of mucus. Sensation of a splinter in throat. When swallowing sensation as if a plug. Fever with chill.
LACHESIS
Quinsy. Suppuration of the left tonsil. Pain in throat, worse on swallowing saliva or liquids. Purple tonsils, choking feeling, especially when drinking fluids. Constrictive feeling in throat.
LYCOPODIUM CLAVATUM
Swelling and suppuration of tonsils, especially right side. Ulceration of the tonsils, beginning on right side. Dryness of the throat without thirst. Inflammation of throat with stitches on swallowing, better warm drinks. Chronic enlargement of tonsils.
MERCURIUS SOL
Quinsy, with difficult swallowing after pus has formed. Sore, raw, smarting, burning throat. Burning in throat, as from hot vapor ascending. Stitches into ear, when swallowing; fluids return through nose. Profuse salivation, offensive breath. Complete loss of voice.
NITRIC ACID
Tonsils red, swollen, uneven with small ulcers thereon. Difficult swallowing. Sticking pain as from splinters into eras, worse swallowing. ?Hawks out mucus.
PHYTOLACCA DECANDRA
Quinsy. Tonsils swollen, especially right side, dark, red appearance. Shooting pain into ears on swallowing. Much pain in root of tongue, and soft palate. Throat feels rough, narrow and hot. Cannot swallow anything hot.
PSORINUM
Eradicates tendency to quinsy. Tonsils greatly swollen, painful swallowing with pain in ears. Profuse offensive saliva tough mucus in throat. Recurring quinsy. Hawking up of cheesy, pea-like balls of disgusting smell and taste. As of a plug in throat impeding hawking. ?
SILICEA
Periodical quinsy. Tonsils swollen, suppurating. Swallowing is painful, difficult. Stinging pain on swallowing. Hawks foul lumps.
