Performance should not be an Afterthought

Building tech solutions go beyond just basic functionality. We are not satisfied with a system that works. We aim to build a system that is performance optimized.

Performance is not an afterthought. We believe in having the mindset to consider Performance as part of the scope and design our solutions accordingly.

Still, sometimes further optimization is necessary. To do so and to develop the critical thinking capabilities of our team, we ran a month-wide challenge where each project team would identify an area that can be optimized.

The Challenge was called "Beat the Second".

Many project teams delivered stunning performance improvements to their client projects as part of this challenge. The winner was the team led by Dishant Parikh and Kushal Dulani .

Their Machine Learning model was a bit slow and they decided to do something about it. Without increasing the GPU power or anything that would add budget burden to the client, they used smart ML tricks and achieved a 500% improvement in performance.
