Performance Captured @ Academy

“Ain’t nothing like the real thing”, quoted John Nelson. It was a special night with the Sci-Tech-Council’s presentation at the ACADEMY. VES and SIGGRAPHers sat through talks about the “Future of Performance Capture in Real-Time,” which they probably already knew. It was the presence of the Actors: CCH Pounder and Karin Konoval interacting with VFX Sup, John Nelson, who won an Oscar for Best VFX. It gave us all a new insight on the bankable-emotions of the Actors using the latest technologies from “Avatar”, “Blade Runner 2049” and “Planet of the Apes”.  Special thanks to Doug Roble, Darren Hendler, and John Knoll, Visual Effects Sups.
