If you've been following my Burnout Digest, you know that each Friday I put out a newsletter with the latest blog and podcast episode on burnout (plus something fun to watch).
But it's a new year and it's time for a new newsletter.
I hinted back in December that I was shifting my focus to performance at work. It's what leaders ultimately want - to get more done without burning out.
I want to propose a different take on getting to peak performance. It combines ancient wisdom with modern strategies to transform stress and thereby, avoid burnout.
It's what I call Performance Alchemy?.
In the world of the alchemist, there is one ultimate goal -- to transmute base metals into precious gold. This is metaphor for how we can transform our stress into success.
Naturally, it's led to a revamping of the Burnout Digest...
Introducing the Performance Alchemy Newsletter.
In it, I aim to provide valuable insights, tips, and strategies related to boosting productivity, managing stress, and achieving peak performance without the burnout.
Together, we will explore different aspects of the Performance Alchemy? framework and share practical advice that you can apply in your daily life.
And as always, I value your input. Send me your questions, reflections, and takeaways.
Here's to a prosperous and successful 2024!
Yours,
Dr. Sharon, author of "The Stress Advantage"

I just got back from a fascinating trip to Argentina. One of the places we visited was Iguazu, a South American version of Niagara Falls.
Once there, we entered a small museum describing the history of the native people from that land, the Guarani.
This image above shares ancient wisdom that aligns with what we ultimately all want...
...to be abundant, to enjoy life through never-ending "feasting and dancing" and to never get tired.
When we cultivate our mind, live with balance, and focus on de-stressing and recharging, we become unstoppable.
That's what I want to share this year in my writing, coaching, speaking, training, and consulting.
Stay tuned.
