Perfecting Product-Market-Fit

Perfecting Product-Market-Fit

Are you tired of chasing clients and wondering why your marketing agency hasn’t gained the traction you had hoped for?

You need 100% validation of your product-market-fit to gain more predictability in your cash flow.

After talking with some fellow business owners this week, I am reminded of the frustration I went through earlier on in my agency. The same frustration leaves many business owners scratching their heads: wondering why they don’t have more clients after being in business for several years.

  • Why isn’t my business further along by now?
  • Why can't we ever get ahead and fund more growth?

Most businesses rely on the simple solution of...just get more sales because more revenue will fix everything.

The problem with this is that it just isn’t scalable. Your sales team will always be flying blind if they don’t have a clear direction.

And when you don’t have clarity on who you are focused on serving, business becomes a lot harder than it needs to be.

But when you have perfect product-market fit:

  • Your sales conversions rates will be higher
  • You won’t have to rely on referrals
  • You won’t have to rely on 1-2 big clients
  • You’ll spend less $$ on marketing
  • ...and marketing will become much easier.

So if you want to ensure your agency has a crystal clear product-market fit, follow these 6 steps:

PERFECTING PRODUCT-MARKET FIT

1. Clarify Your Vision

What are you trying to achieve? What is driving you everyday? Your vision is the compass to keep your business aligned.

2. Identify AND Clarify Your Target

Narrow your focus. You can’t be everything to everyone..when you try you create unpredictability and chaos in your agency.

3. Identify Underserved Needs in the Market

Your prospect has a problem - you need to articulate this in their language so it resonates. Validate with 1-to-1 research.

Define Your Value Proposition

What is your million dollar message, who do you help, what result are you providing and how are you doing it (uniquely).

4. Create a Minimum Viable Service

Steer clear of “full-service” and instead package your services to meet the underserved need.

5. Test, Measure, Repeat...Consistently!

Every time you do this you will improve efficiency and you’ll start scaling faster and with more focus.
