The Perfect Squeeze Page/Opt-in Page

I was asked about the perfect elements for a squeeze page. In my opinion, there's no such thing. There are many options and you will that in any autoresponder or lead capture program.?

The only way you'll know if your page creates great conversions is by testing. Yes, testing. It's literally the thing that separates success from failure. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.?

In my experience, here are the basic elements of a squeeze page:?

? An attention getting headline (80% of your work needs to go into the headline)?

? An opening sentence to your offer

? 3-4 bullet points

? Some copy and a closing sentence which contains a call-to-action.?

? A signup form.?

As you can see, my squeeze page was hard-hitting and direct. I felt it needed to be, to punch through so much of the B.S. I've seen online.?

Observations

IMO, the headline is everything. Blow it, and you lose your audience.?

As for squeeze pages, there are endless ways of creating them. Some have a headline, an image and call-to-action. From what I have read, they seem to work well. More is not always better.?

From my testing on Facebook, I've had great engagement with just a headline, but if you choose that approach, I recommend you create some drama and/or emotion in your copy, something that's a real attention grabber. That's where I've had the best results.?
